Event Description:

Severe weather characterized by heavy rain has been affecting western, northern, eastern and central parts of Slovenia causing severe flooding and landslides. Some areas are inaccessible, necessary evacuations of residents are taking place. As more rain and floods are expected, the Slovenian Environment Agency (ARSO) has issue a red weather alert on 4 August. The national emergengy response plan for floods has been actiavted on 4 August in the morning. The situation is foreseen to improve as of tomorrow afternoon.
